Cat of the Month
My name is Thelma. I have a best friend (cat) named Louise. Both of us were happily owned by a family. About 5 years ago this family turned us into CARE. We were lucky because CARE found another family for us. We were there about 5 years until the lady remarried. New husband said we "had to go". So, CARE took us back once again, but now we are l7 years old. I have no health issues and eat dry food daily. Louise eats canned kitten food because she is too thin. Otherwise she is very healthy. Louise talks back when spoken to. I am more quiet. We are not shy at all. We are both people LOVERS. CARE will take on the expenses we incurr if they are extraordinarily high. CARE never abandons their cats. Here's hoping someone will want us. We are currently feeling very rejected and sad.
Please call CARE @ (804) 288-9797 or www.care-cats.org.

Dog of the Month - Cake & Cookie
Hello there! We're Cake and Cookie, two adorable HAPPY, little poodle girls with big personalities. We had to go to the shelter when our previous owner couldn't take care of us any more. We're about 7 years old and weigh about 10-12 pounds or so each. We've always been together and you could even say we're joined at the hip because we do NOT like to be separated ~ SO, FURS is looking for a nice new family to take both of us! If you're looking for an instant doggy family then you can't get any cuter than us so call FURS today at 364-1944! Cake & Cookie are up-to-date with routine shots and spayed/neutered.
